Berkeley Earth is now an independent non-profit. Berkeley Earth received a total of $434,500 in financial support for the first phase of work, $400,000 in financial support for the second phase, and has so far raised $460,000 for its third phase of work -- including ongoing work on the science of global warming, education and communications, and global warming mitigation. Berkelely Earth has also received $188,587 in funding from the U.S. Department of Energy.
