This Berkeley Earth Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use of the Website (as that term is defined below). Email Campaigns

We use a Service Provider to send and manage email campaigns when you subscribe to receive them on the Website.

Mailchimp is an online marketing platform operated by The Rocket Science Group LLC, a company headquartered in the State of Georgia in the United States. Mailchimp enables us, among other things, to send and manage email campaigns in the form of newsletters and event invitations through the use of distribution lists. Distribution Lists are stored on a secure Mailchimp server. They do not, under any circumstances, selldisclose our Ddistribution Llists to anyone. If abusive or illegal behavior related to our Distribution List is detected, Mailchimp may share our Distribution List or portions of it with affected ISPs or anti-spam organizations to the extent permitted or required byapplicable law.

Personalized Advertising

NextRoll, Inc. (formerly AdRoll, Inc.) is an independent marketing technology platform that offers data-driven advertising and marketing services that enable us to advertise our services to you on other websites. When you visit certain pages on our website, third parties (such as NextRoll) may send cookies to your browser for targeted advertising purposes.

Hosting Services

We use a Service Provider to make our website available to you through a hosting service.

Media Temple, owned by GoDaddy Operating Company LLC, offers website hosting services. Media Temple enables us to host our website on their servers, which are located in Culver City, California in the United States. The information you submit through the forms on our website may be stored on their servers, but only for our use as indicated on the Website.
